What a monthly coaching call covers

One focused hour a month, grounded in your own books. Here is how a session runs, start to finish: what we do before we meet, how we spend the hour, and what you leave with. The topic below is illustrative to show the shape of a real call.

Before the call

We read your numbers first. A few days out, we pull your cash position, AR aging, payer mix, and margin to mark changes since last month. You never spend the hour catching us up. We conduct our analysis prior to meeting, and the advice is grounded in what your books actually say about the month.

The hour

Priorities identified each month based on your numbers, so the time goes to decisions and not status updates. Sample topic: a payer quietly cut its fee schedule and margin is slipping.

  • 0:00
    The numbers since last time
Cash, AR, payer mix, and margin, read out loud. What is trending the right way, and the one line that is not. This month: net revenue per visit is down and we name why before we fix it.
  • 0:10
    Last month's priorities
Did the one or two things we agreed on get done? What happened when they did, or what got in the way.
  • 0:20
The decision in front of you
The month's real work. For example: one payer's fee schedule dropped about 6%. We size the dollar impact, weigh renegotiating against shifting the schedule toward better-paying visits, and decide on a move. Most calls have one topic this size.
  • 0:45
This month's one or two priorities
We pick the smallest number of things that will actually move a number, and write them down. Two at most. A long list is how nothing gets done.
  • 0:55
What to send us, and what you can ask between calls
Anything we need before next month, and a reminder that a quick question does not have to wait for the next session.

After the call

A short written recap sent the same day. The decision we reached, the one or two priorities, and anything we owe you. It fits on half a page, so nothing gets lost and next month starts where this one ended.

Honest limit: coaching is guidance, not the work itself. We help you decide and hold you accountable, but you run the practice. When a task is bigger than an hour a month, that is when Back Office or Practice Launch services can step in.

Coaching for practice owners

The owner track is $1,000 a month, month-to-month. What we tell you to do is what we would do with our own numbers. Start with a call and see if it fits.
